C.S. Lewis

“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless--it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable.”

Oh yes, so true.

To live without love is to live without life... I can not imagine how lonely, sad and dark the days would be...

I shall never close my heart to that which is called... love.

it will hurt none the less... the heart knows what it was created for and will seek to be given away.
Like holding a handful of sand the tighter you squeeze the more will slip through your fingers... cup your hand and you can hold much more
